MS Grjónagrautur – decreasing fat/salt by adding cinnamon

Was looking at the packaging of MS’s Heimilis Grjónagrautur packaging over the weekend and noticed some magic cinnamon sugar.

Somehow, adding cinnamon sugar decreases both fat and salt content. Magic!

I’ve reached out to MS for comment, I presume it’s “just a typo” of some form 🙂

Update: It’s because I was foolishly misreading this as 100g of grautur PLUS the sugar. (This is how breakfast cereal is normally presented, as 30g of cereal plus 125ml of milk, for instance)

Instead, what we have is per 100g so the left is 100g of product, and the right is 90g of product, plus 10g of cinnamon sugar. Technically correct, but I’m not remotely convinced that this is useful consumer information…
